Retail Pharmacy Services

Customer Service - At Mina Pharmacy, the customer is our responsibility. We want to satisfy all customers' needs. Pharmacy cashiers, technicians, and pharmacists push themselves for excellent service.

Online Refills - Customers are able to request refills via the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pharmacy will process the refill request immediately during normal business hours. If a request is made during non-working hours, the pharmacy will process the request first thing in the morning of the next business day.

Refill Reminder Service - Upon patient's request, Mina Pharmacy can add you to their refill request list. Every time a prescription is due for a refill, the pharmacist or technician will call the customer to get authorization before filling a medication.

Delivery - Mina Pharmacy has three delivery drivers on O'ahu and one delivery driver for Mina Hilo and Mina Kona. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver patients' prescriptions and medical supplies to their front door. We offer free delivery to carehomes. Mina Pharmacy also makes various deliveries to doctor's offices and clinics.

Refill Request Authorization - For whatever reason a prescription cannot be refilled, Mina Pharmacy will call or fax your physician to request a new prescription. Most doctor's offices request two to three business days for all requests. If a patient is out of medication, it is the pharmacist's discretion to loan the patient enough medication until his or her doctor approves another refill.

Flexible Payment Options - We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. Mina Pharmacy also offers monthly billing, which means the customer can be billed at the end of the month for all dispensed medications. Our billing system allows for account receivable payments to be processed through account-on-file payment agreement; ACH origination payments directly from the patient's personal accounts; and payments by check received through the mail. Patients can receive payment receipts for all transactions.

Packaging - Upon request, the pharmacy personnel are able to prepare patient's prescriptions in a bubble or blister pack rather than a traditional bottle. All bubble packs are labeled with the name of the patient and the doctor's instructions.

Compounding Services - Mina Pharmacy in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii is able to process and fill all coumpounds. If a prescription is needed on another island, Mina Kailua-Kona will have it delivered the next day.

Prior Authorization Requests - Your health plan may require you to obtain prior authorization before it chooses to pay for a particular medication. Mina Pharmacy will contact the insurance company and coordinate with the doctor's office to expediate procedure.

Medication Therapy Management (MTM) - Medication therapy management is a partnership between Mina Pharmacy pharmacists, the patient or his or her caregiver, and other health professionals to promote the safe and effective use of medications. Mina Pharmacy wants patients to achieve their goals from medication therapy.

Vaccination and Immunization - Mina Pharmacy offers vaccination and immunization for anyone older than 9-years-old by Hawaii State licensed nurses.

e-Prescription Service - Mina Pharmacy, in partnership with your physician, offers e-Prescribing service. This service minimizes any mistakes that could occur by the doctor or pharmacy. It also streamlines the process and shortens the wait time.
